 Sender: Responsible for encoding an intended
message into meaningful symbols, both verbal
and non-verbal
 Communication Channel: Path of
communication; written, spoken, non-verbal
 Receiver: Decodes perceived meaning
 Meaning: Interpret message
 Feedback: reverses the process & conveys
response back to sender
