What is On-the-Job Training?

A VR-funded opportunity to mentor an individual with a disability, help the person develop skills and gain experience on the job.

On-the-Job Training

• You may receive reimbursement for:

– Your Trainee’s salary

• VR may also provide:

– Support services (e.g., uniforms, tools, bus passes)

– Job-site assessment and any needed accommodations-most are free or cost less than $100

How Do I Participate?

• Become a Vendor at Rehabworks.org

• Participate in the development of the

OJT Agreement

• Provide training for OJT participant

• Track training hours

• Provide information on training progress

VR has two goals:

1. To help you find skilled, qualified individuals to fill your vacancies

2. To help people with disabilities gain or retain employment
