himself was our first university».
Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov was born in November, 1711

Holmogory.
In 11-12 years he started to study reading and writing. In one of
December nights, having taken the things (basically - books),he
has walked in Moscow to study sciences.
In 1730 Lomonosov entered in Slavjano-Greek-Latin Academy
He studied various subjects for six years and became one of the best

University. He plunged into his studies and was rewarded with a two-year
grant to study abroad at the University of Marburg, in Germany.
