Tender & Pre Qualification
Consistent / One Standard of information
and documentation for :• Pre Qualification information applicable to
all MPA members – Pics?
• Core questions
• Assessed in accordance with one pre
assessment body i.e. Pics, CHAS, Safe
Contractor, Achilles etc
• H&S Competency - SPA passport
• Technical Competency confirmation

Personal Protective Equipment
One standard for PPE - Finning has
a minimum requirement
• Colour of hi-visibility clothing
• Colour of head protection
• Type of Safety footwear – Finning is
protective toecap & midsole, laced
above the ankle (riggers banned)
• Standard of Safety – Commitments
• Machine/Equipment Isolation

Consistent Site requirements
•
Booking in – Provided with site plan to include site safety rules, traffic routes, crossing points
and emergency contacts
•
Designated Safe Work area, away from
operating area, barrier/cordoned off
•
Hard standing (min compacted hardcore)
•
Not expected to work in site operating area
(unless a breakdown) and then;
•
Escorted into operating area and safe work area
implemented
•
Machine washed in advance of visit (dry)
•
Risk Assessment and reporting - Simplification
•
Arrangements for Working at Height
•
Arrangements for Lone Working and out of hours
