FSA ELA Writing – Students with an oral
presentation accommodation on their IEPs or
Section 504 plans may have the directions and
prompt read aloud to them.
The Writing Component requires students to read
a variety of texts and respond to what they have
read. Because this portion of the test assesses
reading skills as well as writing skills, the passages
may NOT be read aloud to students.
FSA ELA Reading – Students with an oral
presentation accommodation on their IEPs or
Section 504 plans may have the directions,
test questions, and answer choices read
aloud to them. The Reading passages may NOT
be read aloud to students.
FSA Mathematics – All mathematics

accommodation.
Scoring and Reporting
You will receive score information with an explanation of the results –
Scores - 2 performance indicators: a T-score and a Percentile Rank.
T score - a score on a scale of 20-80 with approx. 50 as statewide avg.
Percentile Rank will show how they performed on each grade
level/subject area test compared to all other students in FL who took the
same test.
After achievement - level cut scores are established, districts will receive
Retrofitted test results to reflect student performance on the new score
scale. For grade 3 and grade 10 ELA, a score linked to the FCAT 2.0
grade 3 and grade 10 assessments will be provided.
The state mandates for 3rd grader
promotion to 4th grade and
High School graduation remain intact.
