Use a baseline knowledge of crash data,
crash reports and safety terminology to
extract actionable information.
 Execute the components of the “Safety
Management Cycle” for a local agency
given a variety of levels of data.
 Explain the significance of the Highway
Safety Manual (HSM) with respect to
higher level data intensive analysis


varying complexity to determine safety
countermeasures.
 Outline the strengths, weaknesses, and
limitations of analytical techniques.
