Readiness for promotion • Staff considering applying for promotion will normally discuss and plan with their supervisor in the years leading up to the application • Applicants should be able to provide evidence that they have the capacity to perform at the level they are applying for • Applicants should treat the application the same way they would a job application i.e. Does the application address the criteria in the MSALs? Have main points been highlighted? Is it formatted correctly?
