For generations, Magnor Glassverk has contributed to making
everyday a celebration. We are proud of the achievements of
our skilled designers, glassblowers and production workers. In
collaboration with them, we are happy to present the collection
of 2015.
Magnor was founded in 1896 and several generations have
shaped its history. We are continuously working to create new
designs and products. Together with some of the most skilled

WELCOME TO MAGNOR
Situated right in Scandinavia - Only 3 km from the Swedish border and 100 km from Oslo, we are creating magic from fire and sand!
Magnor Glassverk was founded in 1896. We are proud of our history, yet, dedicatet to remaining on innovator in the industry. Each
year we launch two new collections. In collaboration with some of the best designers and artists in Norway and Sweden. We want to
create glass and crystal that will generate happiness, enthusiasm and pleasure for generations.
All of our glass products are handmade with great care and affection by skilled craftsmen.
At Magnor Glassverk, we have a factory outlet which is open year round. In the glass hut, you can see glassblowers in action on
weekdays. In the summer you can choose to blow your own glass or buy factory seconds at affordable prices.

PLINT
Design Andreas Engesvik, Oslo
Andreas Engesvik is a award winning
Norwegian designer and is one of
Norway most famous and exciting
designers. Andreas Engesvik has a
Bachelors degree in Art History from
the University of Bergen Norway
(1991/1995). Andreas went on to
study Design at the National College
of Art and Design.
He graduated in 2000 with a Masters
degree in Design and founded in the
same year Norway Says. In 2009,
after 6 successful years, as a company,
Andreas Engesvik went solo and
founded his new studio ANDREAS

The motivation for creating Plint
drinking glasses was to create a
simple series of glass for everyday
use. There should be a series of glass
of the same shape - but in different
sizes. 4 glasses of different size - intended for different uses. Sometimes
you chooses a small glass - sometimes one large. Sometimes a large
glass of water - sometimes a small
glass extra nice juice etc. Almost like
a set of baking bowls in the kitchen
- the same shape but different sizes.
This is a simple thought of functionality – like here, in Plint series, defines
the expression of shape.

The glasses shape relates to the fine
shaped corpus and the base of the
glasses. The base lifts up the corpus
and the main shape of the glasses.
The transition between the base and
corpus makes the glasses good to
hold. The base also gives the glasses
a nice weight and a good balance. The
glasses are all stable in the dishwasher without being top heavy, and
are also stackable

Finn Schjøll is one of the most
popular florists and television
personalities in Norway, well
known for his good spirits and
wise statements. With his knowledge of flowers and gift giving,
he is continuously offering new
inspiration on how to bring joy
to others and how to decorate
with flowers. For Magnor, he has
designed Boblen; the greatest
vase success yet. Once again he
is current with metallic miniature
vases; Boblen Mini Metal Collection. Spread some joy, be inspired

Halvor Bakke is one of the most popular interior designers in Norway, well
known from various interior programs on TV. He has developed interior
collections, furniture collections, created colour schemes, wallpapers
and designed flooring. With his great knowledge of interior design, Halvor
Bakke is providing inspiration for Norwegian homes. For Magnor, he has
successfully designed the series Lerk, Skyline and Square, and now the
series Cap Classique.

HOLD
BOBLEN spring collection

Design Finn Schjøll
Kristine Bjaadal holds a Master’s
degree in design from Oslo National
Academy of the Arts, and runs her
own design studio in Oslo, Norway.
Through objects, Bjaadal wants
to tell stories about everyday life.
She focuses on how she – through
her design of everyday objects –
can turn your daily routines into
rituals to appreciate. Her works
have a poetic quality where use of
materials and design united give
associations to sculpture as well
as to their intended use.
Hold is a series of coloured glass
containers. The glasses explore
the idea of open/closedness (!?),
and can be used with or without
wooden lids. The lids are made of
solid ash with leather details. All
the glasses are made from the
same form, but the they are cut
in different heights – which gives
the collection a varied yet holistic
impression. Hold can be used as
functional containers, or merely
as sculptural objects.

Design Kristine Five Melvær
Designer Kristine Five Melvær (b.
1984) investigates the subject of
object communication, bridging
the disciplines of product design
and graphic design. She focuses
on the communicative potentials
of objects as a means to create
emotional bonds between object
and user. By searching for the
sensual essence of phenomena,
she translates these qualities into
sensuous objects with a Scandinavian simplicity.
ELSE is a vase collection designed by Kristine Five Melvær for
Magnor Glassverk. Else is a large sculptural vase with a featherlike design that spreads like a necklace around the vase’s neck.
The vase has two coloured layers, with shades that are close to
each other. The lower part of the vase has a sandblasted surface
and has a matte finish, whilst the upper part of the vase has
been overlaid with a shiny gloss finish.

MARIE is a vase collection designed by Kristine Five Melvær for
Magnor Glassverk. Marie is blown in one color that changes
its character with the dramatic curves of the vase. The narrow
sections are perceived as more intense and opaque while the
stretched part becomes more transparent and balloon-like in
the broad curve in the upper part of the vase. In this way, the
vase shape and color together tell the story of the vase curves.
Marie is a large and sculptural object that can also be used
without flowers.

LIV
Design Kristine Five Melvær
LIV is a series of vases and candleholders designed by Kristine Five Melvær. These different designs invite a
varied and playful use and work well both individually and in groups. Four of the objects are shaped so that
the glass embraces the flowers or candle by creating space for them. The shape focuses on the flowers or
candle and gives them extra value, which is why the vases also fit well with just one single flower. The cap can
also support the flower by keeping it upright or helping it climb. The dark colour in one lantern holds the light
like the moon in a dark night sky. The fifth vase is a large object with a dramatic curve at the top that flowers
can climb in. The sixth is a small vase with a narrow neck that can accommodate a handful of wildflowers, or
a lone wild rose on the nightstand.

Design Kristine Five Melvær
MULTI is a beautiful and innovative object with multiple functions, designed
by Kristine Five Melvær. Multi consists of two-coloured glass bubbles inside
the other, the interior of opaque glass and the outer transparent glass. It can
be used both as a candle lantern and as a vase. When the sunlight hits the
object, it will act as a light sculpture that forms coloured rings on the surface
where it is placed. The two bubbles can also be used individually as lamps,
vases or containers as jewellery. Multi is blown by experienced glass blowers and is delivered in three colour combinations.

Shanghai. There he sat on the 43rd floor looking out over
the city, fascinated by the lights. The SKYLINE series is a
clean and sleek series designed by Halvor Bakke that is

Halvor Bakke drew inspiration from his travels around the world and SKYLINE
was the artistic result of a trip to Shanghai. He gave the SKYLINE series a tight,
clean and masculine expression in sparkling charcoal or white glass. Like the
gray skyscrapers in contrast to the clear sky, these products create an illusion
of big city esthetics which make for a trendy and stylish interior. Be inspired by

AUGUSTIN are lovely vases and angels in the same shape, designed by
Teresa Bergerud. Teresa looked through old children’s drawings when
designing an angel for Magnor Glassverk. She came across a beautiful
drawing of an angel her son, August, signed when he was five years.
This angel gave love and inspiration for the series Augustin. The angels
are charming and beautiful, and all have a personality as they are
mouth blown and made by hand.

Bergerud. The series is formed on the basis of an ellipse - an olive.

BOBLEN MINI METAL COLLECTION is a continuation of Finn
Schjøll’s design success with Boblen Glam Collection and Boblen Metallic Collection. These small vases of happiness are
valuable “treasures”, handmade by experienced glass blowers.
The miniature vases are both luxurious and glamorous, perfect
as gifts or collectibles. Choose a favourite or put them together
as a group. The vases are hand painted in six trendy and metallic varieties; Glam (fully covered in gold silver and copper) and
Metallic (translucent in gold, silver and copper). The shape is
round and soft; a design classic. Water drops that bead on a
leaf after the rain, inspired Finn Schjøll, when he designed the
vase. All vases bear Finns Schjøll’s known signature.

SEASONS series consists of four beautiful art glass vases designed by Kristine Five
Melvær. Nature’s changing colours throughout the year inspire the vases. Spring is
inspired by cherry blossoms and fresh green leaves against a clear sky. Summer is
diving into the blue sea and shows seaweed on the bottom and the waves
lapping at the surface. Autumn shows golden leaves that gradually covers the
green ground. Winter interprets the snow that descends and covers the ground.
The vases can stand alone or together. By changing the vases after season, they
can act as a calendar that reflects the seasons outside. Seasons are mouth blown
by glassblowers who are proud of their work. Each vase has a unique design; not
two are exactly alike.

DEW is a series of glass vases designed by Kristine Five Melvær. The
vases are mouth blown by glassblowers who are proud of their work,
in sober colours with matte sandblasted stripes. The stripes on the
outside of the glass and the colour of the inside creates shadows that
give a unique depth and texture to the otherwise monochrome volume.
The vases are available in four colours. The different heights make them
look beautiful grouped together. Each vase is unique; not two are exactly
alike; precisely this is evidence of genuine handicrafts.

ROSE are beautiful bowls in art glass with soft lines
and playful colors, designed by Vivvi-Ann Huse. The
artist prefers that art glass is elegant, with tight lines
and without coincidences. The artist Vivvi-Ann Huse
designs are, therefore, thin, elegant, playful and difficult
to make! Just as Rose - luxurious with soft lines, good
function, playful details and happy colors.

Øyvind Wyller developed the lamp In Darkness. It was first shown on April
9th 2013 at Wallpaper* Handmade`s exhibition in Milan.
“This project is part of the Wallpaper* Handmade 2013 exhibition which brings
together some of the world’s finest craftsmen, designers, producers and
manufacturers to create one-off pieces and products”, writes Wallpaper*.

MYRULL are beautiful lamps, real art glass, with soft shapes
and warm colors, designed by Vivvi-Ann Huse. They give a very
special light with their gorgeous colors in bright green, light blue
and bright yellow with festive “cotton balls” in white glass. The
lamp is lovely, functional and fun, and fits with anyone who wants
a warm and hearty home. The lamp Myrull is blown and handcrafted by Vivvi-Ann Huse herself. Each one is unique, no two
are exactly alike. The small “cottonballs”, are made by hand and
placed on the lamp like small jewel details.

Teresa Bergerud has worked as
a inhouse designer at Magnor
Glassverk since 2008 and have
designed several of Magnors
products and series during the
last 6 years. Her role has been
to guide and co-operated with
all of the designers that Magnor
work with, but also design her
own products in both glass and
porcelain.
Teresa has a Bachelors degree in
productdesign from HIOA (2003)
and has experience from founder
of Gulberg Design, grafic design
and as a owner of a furniture
factory.
ALBA is for those wanting an
exclusive and classic stemvare,
a functional service that will be
passed down for generations, and
will always feel “right” - even for
the most important of occasions.
New for fall 2013 is the following

In this series, known as Sne - the Norwegian word for snow - Per
Spook is inspired by the chilly elegance of nature. His interpretation
of snow allows us to see the dancing of snow crystals magnified into
floating particles of gold. Bowls, vases, dishes and wine glasses, -all
of which are designed either alone or in combination to gladden both
the eye and the hand. All pieces have the designer’s characteristic
signature embossed on the underside. Flakes of gold and ice-white
in clear crystal.

AXEL is a beautiful sculpture and unique art vase, designed by
Teresa Bergerud. Teresa Bergerud was inspired by Magnors
history when she designed the elegant and luxurious art vase
Axel. She has used ancient glass blowing techniques and created an art vase with bubbles that give a beautiful pearl effect.

MUNCH Art blocks
EDVARD MUNCH ART BLOCKS
Art blocks made in cooperation with the Munch Museum in Oslo, feature subjects selected in collaboration with the Museum. The motifs
are lithographs of Munch`orignial paintings, transferred onto crystal
blocks, produced by Magnor, using a unique process.
The large blocks, released in a limited edition of 1000, are numbered
and delivered with a certificate of authentication.
These small art blocks, released in unlimited quantity, are the perfect size for gift giving.
The MUNCH ART BLOCKS series consists of eighteen blocks,
handmade by experienced craftsmen at Magnor Glassverk, a factory with deeply-rooted traditions in the art of glassmaking. AllThe
pieces have a unique feel and bear one of Edvard Munch`smotifs
