UKTI – NEPIC Trade Development
Template
 Nepic and UKTI have worked together over an extended period to
lay down the groundwork for companies to enter a market in the
easiest way possible
 Well proven and refined set of actions and activities
 Many companies have used and gained orders (some on the first
visit) and are now developing and expanding in the market –
including on the ground investment – Track record shows it works
 UKTI and NEPIC need to take the next phase of companies into the
programme this year – think where you would be now if you had
started last year

 The Foreign Office will later this week reveal how much
 money and resource it is shifting from its European embassies
and consulates to emerging markets like Brazil and India as
part of the “prosperity agenda”, as it describes it.
•Applying this approach, and building on the measures set out in The Plan for Growth, UKTI will
focus primarily on 18 priority sectors, which fall into five groupings. These sectors,
identified in the recent review, are underpinned by two cross-cutting areas – Technology
and Low Carbon − whose breadth means that they drive, and enable, all the other sectors
(see sector table opposite
