中国农历新年
春节是什么?
春节 is the Chinese
celebration of the New
Year.
It is considered the
biggest Chinese holiday
and lasts up to 15 days.
It is celebrated in China,
Hong Kong, Taiwan,
Singapore, some other
Asian countries and
Chinatowns all over the
world.
食物 的春节
在春节期间, 食物有意义.
For example, tofu is not eaten
because it is white, and white is
the color of death and therefore
unlucky.
But, sweets and fruits are served
because fruit represents life and
sugar will supposedly sweeten up
your new year. They are often
served on a round platter
(signifying completeness), and
served in multiples of 8 (which is
a lucky number).
衣服的春节
On Chinese New Year,
there are certain types of
clothing and colors that are
worn.
红是颜色的 幸运.
Many Chinese also dress
up in traditional Chinese
costumes and dresses.
言辞的春节
When it is 春节, people have
greetings that they say to each
other.
One such greeting is “恭喜发
财” which means
“Congratulations on your
fortune.”
Along with the greeting,
people do the traditional hand
clasp and bow to each other.
事件的春节
There are many events that
happen during 春节.
一个事件是舞龙.
Other events include
traditional Chinese dances
and the giving of red
pockets or “红包”
结论
春节 is one of the biggest
holidays in Chinese culture.
There are many traditions
associated with it.
Foods, flowers, fruits, and
colors all have great
significance during 春节.
