Climate
• The Poison Dart Frog lives in the rainforests.
• All year is on and off rain.
• It’s humid all day long so the Poison Dart Frog
takes a rest.
• It can be in the 70’s and 80’s.
Physical adatations
• It can be 1 or half an inch and two black eyes
at the top of it’s head.
• The colors they can be are yellow , black ,
blue, orange , green and red.
• It’s an amphibian.
Lifespan
• It can live up to 4 to 6 years.
• It’s not endangered because of it’s poisoning
so if some animal wants to eat them they will
get poisoned.
Food
• Poison Dart Frogs are herbivores.
• It’s sticky tongue and jumping legs they can
get their food.
• Poison Dart Frogs eats mostly flies.
• The Golden Dart Frog eats only meat.
Behavioral adaptations
• Poison Dart Frogs act like nobody was there
but there would a predator around and they
would want to eat them.
• When the Poison Dart Frog hunts for food flies
The Golden Poison Dart Frog eats meat and
the Strawberry Poison Dart Frog eats flies and
lots others.
Reproduction
• In 1 to 2 weeks their baby’s will hatch.
• Once they hatch they will go for a ride to the
water!

• Hunters in Colombia roll the tips of their
blowguns on sertin skins of Poison Dart Frogs
to play in game.
• Their poisoning can last up to 1 year.
• A little roll on a Dart Frogs skin can kill more
than 100 people.
Physiological adaptations
• Scientists think the Poison Dart Frog eats the
bug and the ate something poisonus like
poison ivy.
• The Poison Dart Frog is a cold blood animal
and it helps them stay alive.
