Dirt on my Shirt
There’s dirt on my shirt
And leaves in my hair
There’s mud on my boots
But I don’t really care
Playing outside is so much fun
To breathe the clean air
And feel the warm sun
To stomp in a puddle
Or climb a big tree
Makes me quite happy
Just look and you’ll see

“Boing, boing, boing” goes a happy kangaroo
“Boing, boing, boing”goes a hoppy frog too
“Yip, yip, yip” goes the puppy up the street
“Tweet, tweet, tweet” goes our little parakeet
“Ding-a-ling-a-ling” goes a fire truck in a hurry
“Wah, wah, wah” goes my baby brother

My Hippo Has the Hiccups
My hippo has the hiccups
and his hiccups shake the ground.
The floor is always rumbling
when my hippo is around.

I bought him at the pet store
But I missed a small detail.
I didn't see the sign said:
"Hiccupotamus for sale.”

My Dog Plays Invisible Frisbee
My dog plays invisible Frisbee
.He catches invisible balls.
He rides an invisible skateboard.
He hurdles invisible walls.
My dog has perfected the practice of doing invisible tricks.
He jumps with invisible jump ropes and fetches invisible sticks.
He barks at invisible mailmen .He growls at invisible cats.
He'll bring me invisible slipper sand even invisible hats.
He chases invisible squirrels whenever we go for a jog.
He's clearly the greatest dog ever .
I love my invisible dog.

Swinging From the Lights
We're swinging from the lights.
We're standing on our chairs.
We're bouncing off the walls.
We're sliding down the stairs.
We're running in the halls.
We're slamming all the doors.
We're jumping off our desks.
We're skidding on the floors.
We'd rather use the swings.
We'd rather use the slide.
Except today it's raining
and recess is inside. --Kenn Nesbitt
A greedy and ambitious cow
Determined she would graze
On all the fields for miles around….
She finished every blade of grass,
the land is barren now.
That cow was in the meadowThe meadow’s in the cow.

Snowflakes
Snowflakes, snowflakes
Falling to the ground
Each one rests so gently
They never make a sound
Snowflakes, snowflakes
Are so pure and white
The special thing about them is
No two are alike
Pudgy Little Snowman
A pudgy little snowman
had a carrot nose
Along came a bunny
and what do you suppose.
That hungry little bunny
looking for some lunch
Ate the little snowman's nose
Nibble, Nibble, CRUNCH!
