Change to the E40 situation: Westkerke Car Park (towards France) closed
Starting on Monday, 2 June 2014, the Westkerke-Noord car park, along the E40 in the direction of France, will
be closed to all traffic. Parking, during the night or day, is no longer allowed.
The Government of Flanders is taking this measure to combat nuisance and discourage illegal human trafficking.
This measure is part of a pilot project that will last six months.
Motorists and lorry drivers who want to park along the motorway can still make use of the other motorway
car parks along the E40. The Westkerke-Zuid car park (on the opposite side, in the direction of Bruges) will
still be open.
