In 2011, the Fair Board created the
Ambassador Program to promote the annual
Fair & Rodeo.
All Yamhill County junior and senior high
school students with a 2.5 GPA are eligible
to apply.
Three Ambassadors are selected and are
awarded $1,000 college scholarships.

4-H Program
Started in Yamhill County in 1904.
OSU Extension youth development program.
Open to all youth K-12.
Over 500 youth & 130 volunteers participate.
4-H Goals: Head = clearer thinking
Heart = greater loyalty
Hands = larger service
Health = better living
Many activities, such as: cooking, sewing,
animal projects, robotics, shooting sports.







Chartered in Oregon in 1929.
FFA Goal: Help middle & high school students
develop premier leadership, personal growth
& career success through Ag Education.
Our 7 school districts have FFA Chapters.
Over 200 youth participate.
Many activities, such as: animal projects,
public speaking, parliamentary procedure,
crop science, tractor mechanics.
Motto: “Learning to do, Doing to learn,
Earning to live, Living to serve”.
