FHA and Conventional Loans
Depending on the working adults, all you need for an
FHA loan is a down payment of approximately $2,500 to $5,000 of which half of that can be a gift.
However, if you are able to put down 5% of the sales price you may be eligible for a conventional loan.
A conventional loan significantly lowers your monthly home payment.
Note, that the 5% down payment must be your own money. No gift funds are allowed.
