Key New Capabilities in BOBJ 4.0
Mobility
• Allow analytics to be delivered in a targeted fashion to any mobile device with
visual interactivity and smart search across the content. This is further enhanced
by allowing all corporate data to be visible on the mobile device instantly
through In-Memory analytics.
Data Federation
• Universes can now include multiple sources making report authoring
tremendously easier, enabling new analytic applications, and providing faster
time-to-value.
User Experience
• Improved usability for end-users, analysts and Administrators. Visualizations,
terminology, and menus are used consistently across the entire BI Tool Suite. Adhoc analysis and report design workflows are common across the BI suite with
common use of the query panel.
Performance
• Optimized for 64 bit, virtualization, and in-memory technologies.
• New system monitoring, diagnostics and alerting to optimize deployment.
• Best integration and performance on SAP systems leveraging native BW
connectivity for improved integration and speed on SAP BW.
