Not only has he been involved in numerous celebrated housing projects such as Mecanoo’s St. Josephhof in Nijmegen but also award-winning office and educational buildings including: Philips’ Business Innovation Centre, FiftyTwoDegrees, Nijmegen and Fontys Sports College, Eindhoven (WAF 2013 Best School Project). His housing projects are characterised by varied sustainable residential environments with carefully integrated public spaces creating distinct identities. His educational projects like Fontys Sports College reflect a keen attention to innovation in educational program delivery. The design of exciting spaces for students, staff and visitors alike is also an important consideration. Rick joined Mecanoo in 2002 after graduating from the Technical University of Delft. He became an Associate Architect in 2013.
