A problem of the beauty therapy education in Latvia is that despite the fact that
the State has developed unified requirements and criteria for valuation of the
teaching quality, there is still a phenomenon that at some private schools and

place in a full scope. As a result there are too many trained beauticians who are
not enough skilled. This may cause an adverse effect on the reputation and
prestige of the trade of beauticians.
