FINAL SEMESTER PROJECT-INTERNSHIP IN THE MBA

The objective of this communication is to seek Final Project-Internship
opportunities for our MBA students

THE PROJECT
This is part of the curriculum requirements in the MBA program of Anna
University.
The final semester of the program is mostly devoted to the projectinternship. It must be carried out in a business organization on a fulltime basis.
The semester also involved 3 courses which will done in parallel with
minimal interruption to the project
The project must ideally address a real time issue in the organization which
enables the student to apply the knowledge acquired during the first
three semesters of the program.
Ideally, primary research would be involved. The project must adhere to a
rigorous research methodology right from the problem formulation
stage.

DURATION OF PROJECT INTERNSHIP
Duration : 16 weeks
Start date : 2nd Feb 2015
End date : 31st May 2015 (tentative)

PROCESS & OUTCOME
Process:
•
Identification of problem area by the company
•
Converting to a research problem
• A faculty guide to mentor students and ensure academic rigor
•
Periodic review & presentations to a faculty panel (milestone based)
Outcome:
• Project report in conformity with University requirements (to be
shared with company)
• Final valuation of the project through a viva-voce by an external
examiner appointed by the University.

DOCUMENTATION FROM
COMPANY
1. A confirmation letter that the student is being offered a ProjectInternship with details of project area, name & contact details of the
company guide.
2. Project completion certificate that student has done an internship
for 16 weeks and has completed the project.
3. A feedback on the performance of the student

PROJECT GUIDES
It is ideal that the company assigns a guide to ensure that
organizational objectives are met.
The students are also assigned to faculty members who guide
the student throughout the project.
