USTTAD Fellowship for Research and Development. Support to Craft museum for curating traditional arts/ crafts. Support to minority craftsmen/artisans for marketing Nationally/ Internationally through Export Promotion Councils. • Scheme to be operationalized in 2014-15. • 2600 minority youths will be trained in 2014-15. 11 Cyber Gram Yojana • “Cyber Gram Yojana” a new component of Multi-sectoral Development Programme (MsDP) approved and guidelines issued. • Initiative to impart Digital Literacy to the minority students of Madarsas and Schools. • Training will enable children to use ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in different walks of life as well as Government services. • In partnership with: Common Service Centre e-Governance Services India Limited, a body of Department of Electronics & Information Technology. • It will be implemented in 710 blocks and 66 towns. 12 Nai Manzil • New Scheme “Nai Manzil” to be launched in current financial year. – To mainstream Madarsa students through bridge course with the help of reputed Academic Institutions. – To be implemented by Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF). – Following Five Institutions have been selected to provide bridge course to 3000 students : Aligarh Muslim university (AMU) Jamia Milia Islamia University National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Maula Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) 13 Khwaja Garib Nawaz Senior Secondary School • Khwaza Garib Nawaz Senior Secondary School, a Residential School to be established at Ajmer, Rajasthan. • Project taken up by Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF). • The School to have facilities for educational and economic empowerment through skills . • Land given by Dargah Committee, Ajmer. • Foundation Stone to be laid in current financial year. 14 Projects by National Waqf Development Corporation (NAWADCO) • NAWADCO to launch commercially viable projects on Waqf lands to generate additional revenue for minority welfare programmes. • NAWADCO creating a land bank in association with State Waqf Boards; • A commercial complex cum hospital at Jodhpur (Rajasthan) to be constructed; work to start during current financial year. • MoU signed between NAWADCO and NBCC on 8th September 2014. • Other Properties identified by NAWADCO to develop income generating projects; Bengaluru - 7 Delhi - 1 Bhopal - 4 15 Hamari Dharohar • A scheme to Preserve Rich Heritage of Minority Communities of India under the Overall Concept of Indian Culture. • Objectives: To curate rich heritage of minorities. Maintenance and restoration of heritage sites. Digitization of archives. Preservation and promotion of Languages. Research and Development. • Memorandum for Standing Finance Committee (SFC) circulated for Inter-ministerial consultation. • To be operated during current financial year. 16 Skill Development • • • • • • In-tune with National Priority, Skill Development is a priority of the Ministry. Placement linked Skill Training of 1,00,000 minority youths sanctioned. Taken up under “Seekho Aur Kamao” Scheme and Multisectoral Development Programme (MsDP). Skill training institutions to ensure 75% placement of trained youths under this scheme. Training of 95,824 minority youths sanctioned under MsDP in Uttar Pradesh (34,804) and West Bengal (61,020). Training of 4,270 minority youths sanctioned under Seekho Aur Kamao in 21 different States. 17 “Naya Savera” - Free Coaching for Engineering and Medical Examination • Coaching for focused preparation of minority students of classes XI and XII with science subjects. • Financial assistance - Rs. 1.00 Lakh per student per annum. • Coaching of 1150 students sanctioned; West Bengal (150); Tamil Nadu (100); Telangana (200); Andhra Pradesh (100); Uttar Pradesh (100); Maharashtra (100); Karnataka (200); Assam (100); Kerala (100). • Students to be selected on merit (76% or above marks). • 12 Schools/ colleges in 9 States have been selected to conduct the programme. • 30% success rate to be ensured by the institutions selected for the programme. 18 Initiative for Sanitation • In accordance with the Prime Minister’s call on 15th August, 2014 from Red Fort, the Ministry decided to take up projects for: Construction of Toilets for Girls and Boys in Schools under “Jan Vikas Karyakaram (Multi-sectoral Development Programme)”. 19 New Initiatives in Existing Schemes 20 New Initiatives Taken in Existing Schemes • Scholarships Schemes re-engineered. Simplified forms and procedures. Affidavits discontinued. Upgrading of Online Scholarship Management System (OSMS) for Post matric and Merit-cum-Means (Uploading facility started) Disbursal of Scholarship through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Mode for Post Matric and Merit-cum Means for all the country.
