• Provides support/counsel to students
• Assists students with course plan

• Provincial Course Professors are responsible for the curriculum and course content

• All placements are secured and maintained by the site coordinator at York

• Clinical Request Forms for AHAD,

• Placements take into consideration the learning needs of the student
• Students ’ own workplaces are not suitable for clinical placements
• Clinical placement takes place predominantly in primary health care settings i.e. CHC, FHT, GP offices
• Policies related to clinical placements can be found on the York University Faculty of
Nursing Website
• All consortium universities have assigned catchment areas for placements
• As per your letter of offer you are expected to complete your placements within York ’ s catchment
• This may mean that you have to travel some distance; generally <60Km or one hour from home
• Clinical Preparedness Package must be complete before your placements can start
