faculty, staff, students and visitors at
the University of Arizona.

UA team working closely with
City to develop
intergovernmental agreements
for construction, real estate,
operations & maintenance.
First and Second Streets have
become 2-way streets (see map)
Access will be maintained as
much as possible to key campus
areas
Park Ave. from 2nd to University
closed November 12th for several
months
Construction Overview
• Old Pueblo Trackworks selected as
contractor
• 475 days of construction – complete
summer 2013
• Multiple crews working multiple locations
• Underground utility work and overhead
& track installation
• Maintain business and pedestrian
access
• Olive and Highland underpasses will
remain open, Warren underpass will be
closed until February 2013.
• Have worked closely with stakeholders
along route.

Benefits include:
First Street to be converted to two-way traffic
during construction on Second Street and
kept two-way to alleviate traffic congestion
Entire length of Second Street from Campbell Ave. to
Mountain Ave. will become two-way to increase
efficiency, especially for Second St. Garage traffic. No
left turn into garage going west on 2nd Street.
