1.9 to come to SUNY New Paltz.

New students must maintain a cGPA of
2.00 for economics and 2.75 for
business. Students who fall below
these levels will be put on academic
probation. The cGPA must be raised to
the appropriate level the following
semester to avoid dismissal.

General elective (GE) classes are actually
requirements; business students take ART,
WEST, HUM, and USST.
Economics students take ART and HUM, along
with two writing courses.
You can search by Attribute (GE3) in the online
course catalog to make selections.

Orientation, Course Registration and the
Start of Classes
We hold an orientation session for new
students at the start of each spring
semester. Attendance is mandatory so
we can help you get the best start at New
Paltz. Travel and orientation dates will be
published on the website
Reminders
Check the dual diploma and academic schedule websites for
information on travel dates and spring/summer calendars.
Be sure to book your flight on the date that we will provide a
ride from the airport.
Register for classes by the deadline.
Upload all required documents and read information sent to
you.
You should keep copies of all original documents.
