MISSION STATEMENT
Supply the community of Denver and the state of Colorado
with safe, competent, Radiologic Science Professionals,
who possess the entry-level knowledge and skills necessary
to provide comprehensive quality care to adults and
pediatric patients in a culturally diverse society.

program completion rate 75% or higher
Program will maintain a first-time pass
rate of ARRT board examination of 75% or
higher
At least 85% of program graduates who
are actively seeking employment will
obtain employment within 6 months
of graduation.

education (80% or higher).
Employers will be satisfied with the
graduate’s performance (80% or higher).

Notification of acceptance will occur in late June; the next 4
highest-scoring candidates will be placed on a waiting list
Students may apply and interview a maximum of 3 times
If requested, the Radiography program staff will provide
recommendations to help candidates improve their chances
for success the next year if not invited into the program.

From June to August several things happen:

Job Shadow at a clinical site

Get Immunizations

CPR certification

10-year Federal background check & drug screening

Line up Financial Aid (at least 6-8 weeks before fall
semester)


Criminal Background Check
This is a 10 year Federal Background Check
Disqualifying Offenses:
 Any conviction, plea of guilty or no contest, or deferred
adjudication of the following criminal offenses (felony or
misdemeanor) appearing on a criminal background check will
disqualify an applicant for admission to a CCCS Health Program.
 There is no appealing this background check. It is mandatory.




I
Crimes of violence (assault, sexual offenses, arson, kidnapping, murder,
any crime against an at-risk adult or juvenile, etc.). as defined in section 181.3-406 C.R.S. in the 10 years immediately preceding the submittal of
application.
II
Any offense involving unlawful sexual behavior—same time limit as
above.
III
Any crime, the underlying basis of which has been found by the court on
the record to include an act of domestic violence, as defined in section 18-6800.3 C.R.S. in the 7 years immediately preceding the submittal of
application.
IV Any crime of child abuse, as defined in section 18-6-401 C.R.S.—same
time limit as above.
V Any crime related to the sale, possession, distribution or transfer of
narcotics or controlled substances—same time limit as III.
VI Crimes of theft—Felony has a 7 year limit; Misdemeanor has a 5 year
limit






VII Any offense of sexual assault on a client by a
psychotherapist, as defined in section 18-3-405.5 C.R.S. in the 7
years immediately preceding the submittal of application
VIII Crimes of moral turpitude (prostitution, public
lewdness/exposure, etc.) Same time limit as above.
IX Registered sex offenders (NO time limit)
X Any offense in another state, the elements of which are
substantially similar to the elements of any of the above offenses.
XI More than 1 D.U.I. in the 7 years immediately preceding the
submittal of application
Students who have successfully completed the terms of their
deferred adjudication agreement will not be disqualified.
