• Chief Constable Mick Creedon – capabilities report 2011 and
review of regional organised crime units 2012 identified 12 core
capabilities for ROCU’s.

• Further funding from the Cabinet Office part of the National

ARCCU Objectives
•
Create a dynamic proactive/reactive regional investigative capability
supported by the wider ROCU assets to respond and combat serious
incidents of cyber crime impacting the region.
•
Bring cyber skills to the investigation of serious and organised crime as one
of the stable of skills held at ROCU level.
•
Increase cyber awareness across the regional police forces, community
safety and criminal justice partners.
•
To create local partnerships with academia and industry in order to develop
real synergies in cyber capability around prevention of and response to
incidents.
•
To form part of a national response network capable of supporting the
NCCU at times of significant demand and delivering the Strategic Policing
Requirement (SPR).
