TOPIC A topic is that which identifies a broad area of interest. Example: children & youth ISSUE Identifies a particular interest area within the topic; typically defined as an aspect of the topic that is of interest. Example: prevention and treatment of child abuse FOCUS A particular aspect of the issue selected for impact. Example: effective parenting IMPACT AREA Broadest definition of the outcomes desired.
