What is Cyberbullying?
•It is using technology, like cell phones and the
Internet, to bully or harass another person.

Types of Cyberbullying
1. Sending mean messages or threats to a person's email account or cell phone

3. Spreading rumors online or through texts
4. Taking unflattering pictures of a person and spreading them through cell phones or the

Real World Examples
•On October 16, 2006, a 13year-old girl named Megan

• Josh was really a mother of

Statistics

• Over half of adolescents and teens do not tell their parents when they are cyber bullied

• 1 in 10 adolescents or teens have had embarrassing or damaging pictures taken of themselves without permission

What does the church say about cyberbullying?
• The catholic church is no stranger to bullying

There are many verses in the bible that talk about bullying.
some of those are: Leviticus 19:18;
Matthew 5:11 and Revelation

•Although there truly isn't anything in the bible that talks about cyber bullying these verses prove relevant.

•If these verses are applied to cyberbullying they serve the same purpose which is helping to better ones self

Church's views on cyberbullying
• Recalling the comandments it states one should not bear false witness against his neighbour

•If one shouldn't do this the church would look down upon cyberbullying

Differences Between Cyberbullying and

Cyberbullying can be much less noticeable than

-The virtual disconnect makes it easier for motives and results to be different
