Nicaragua Revolution Day By:Kayte Lawrence Why is this Important? • July 19th 1979 is the Day the Sandinista Soldiers marched into the Capitol and gathered to celebrate the overthrow of the Somoza dictatorship. • This is the anniversary of the day the National Liberation Army declared dictatorship over the Somoza dictatorship. • On July 19th he stood at Managua Revolution Square to fight for their county.
