Stalin was born in Gori, Georgia
He was born on December 21, 1879
He was his mother's fourth child to be born in less
than four years.
The first three died and as Joseph was prone to bad
health, his mother feared on several occasions that
he would also die.
About Stalin
Joseph experienced the poverty that
most peasants had to endure in Russia
at the end of the 19th century.
At the age of seven he contacted with
smallpox.It left a scar on his face and he
became known as “pocky”.

Stalin’s family life
Stalin’s son Yakov finally shot himself because of Stalin’s
harshness toward him.
Yakov ended up surviving. After this Stalin said, “He can’t even
shoot straight”.
Yakov served in the Red Army during World War II and was
captured by the Germans.

Accomplishments
As the ruler of Russia, Stalin was the leader
of world communism for almost thirty years.
Stalin was also involved in the Russian
Revolution in 1917
He also led his country alongside America
and England through World War 2.
