A DR FT Nordic Public Transport 2014 New Trends Demanding New Solutions www.NordicPublicTransport.com InformNorden & Nordisklokaltrafikk 11 − 13 June 2014 | Oslo, Norway A DR FT The theme of Nordic Public Transport 2014 will be “New trends requiring new solutions”. The conference location is on and around Youngstorget square in the city center, with exhibitions both indoors and outdoors. We will open up towards the city and our customers, and the outdoor exhibition will be open to the conference attendees as well as the public. Our ambition for the conference will be to inspire and to increase the general interest in developing public transport. By combining the traditional conferences Nordic Public Transport and InformNorden, as we first did in Reykjavik 2010, we aim to increase the range of lectures and discussions. The main language of the conference will be English, but there will also be Scandinavian sessions. Exhibition spaces for the more trade-specific and less space consuming exhibitors will be located inside Oslo Congress Centre. Exhibitors requiring more space will be accommodated outside at Youngstorget square, where there is room to showcase e.g. the latest in bus technology, and information and shelter solutions etc. Here, The City of Oslo, Ruter and other exhibitors will present topics that should be of interest to both conference attendees and the city’s residents. Youngstorget is located 500 meters from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). Around the square are several restaurants, and in the area between Oslo S and Youngstorget, a range of hotels. InformNorden aims at bringing together users and suppliers of Public Transport Information Technology to stimulate the use and development of IT in public transport by exchange of experience, requirements and standards. The main activities of InformNorden focus on organising the annual InformNorden conference. As an established networking forum, InformNorden also offers an opportunity for members and conference delegates to exchange information and experiences in order to improve public transport IT-solutions and so better meet the needs of users. In 2013 the annual InformNorden conference was held in Helsinki. After the conference in Oslo on the 11–13 of June 2014, the next one will take place in Reykjavik on the 9–11 of September 2015.
