What is DeMolay?
• DeMolay is a fantastic youth organization for
young men ages 12 – 21, dedicated to teaching
it’s members to be better people and leaders.
• Seven teachings:

Cleanness of thought, word, and action
Patriotism
What is DeMolay?

DeMolay History
• Founded in 1919 in Kansas City,
Missouri
• Originally consisted of 9 young men
because they wanted a baseball team
• Name Sake - Jacques DeMolay
• French national hero
• Lived in the 14th Century
How Big is DeMolay?
• DeMolay International:
• 8 Countries and expanding
• All 50 States and the District of Columbia
• Michigan:
• 10 Active Chapters and 4 in Development
• 334 Members and expanding

Joining Process:
• Apply for membership
• Arrange to meet the young men and advisors of
the Chapter
• Attend Induction Ceremonies
