MPI is launching a global online study guide to assist meeting and event professionals in
preparing for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exam and achieving CMP
certification.

The CMP designation recognizes individuals who have achieved a high level of operational
expertise and practical experience in planning meetings and events. The CMP exam is
offered by the Convention Industry Council (CIC).
•
The MPI CMP Online Study Guide was created in conjunction with Arizona State University,
and is sponsored by the MPI Foundation and the Wyndham Hotel Group.
•
The Study Guide is a five-module learning program with voice-over narration, practice
quizzes, and a mock exam at the end of the series and is accessible through
www.mpiweb.org

The MPI CMP Online Study Guide is one element of a comprehensive Knowledge Plan
designed to address the training and career development needs of the MPI Community.

The MPI CMP Online Study Guide is not a comprehensive test preparation course, but rather a
concise overview of the topics covered in the CMP exam.

Viewing the study guide content in its entirety takes approximately 2 hours, with the quizzes
taking an additional 2 hours total, and the mock exam requiring 3 hours.

The Study Guide can be used in conjunction with preparation texts available through the MPI
Bookstore, and study programs offered by MPI Chapter organizations.

MPI’s CMP Online Study Guide is focused and flexible, created with busy schedules in mind and
is moderately priced.
