MARINE DIVING FAIR
BACKGROUND
• Marine Diving Fair (MDF) - considered among the largest dive
resort and consumer fairs.
• An annual dive show organized in cooperation with the
Marine Arts Centre Co., publisher of four major dive
magazines.
• With the Philippines’ inherent advantage in marine and
coastal resources, the archipelago has been receiving over
31% of Japan’s fast growing dive segment estimated with 5
million enthusiasts.
• The previous year’s attendance reached 52,314 visitors with
231 exhibitors from 49 countries.

BOOTH ACTIVITIES
• Seminars with a renowned authority on marine
life and scuba diving are conducted periodically
throughout the 3-day run to attract more visitors.
• Trivia games for booth patrons with colourful and
utile souvenir items as prizes.
• B2B - As the Philippines is one of, if not, the
largest booth in the yearly fair, there is ample
space for the private sector participants to meet
with their Japanese counterparts.

2013 PHILIPPINE PARTICIPATION
• DOT/TPB has reserved 36 square meters of booth
space in MDF 2013 for private sector delegates to
engage the Japanese dive operators and consumers.
• 11 companies from the private sector participated.
