Our role and priorities

How are we working together strategically?
We have a partnership agreement between the East Midlands
AHSN, LETB, Clinical Senate and Leadership Academy. This is
important to building our capacity and capability for improvement and also
for engaging well with clinicians and managers in healthcare.
Next steps
• Big data project – we are sharing data to make decisions about where
we focus our combined resources to maxi impact
• All for one and one for all – sharing engagement events, patient senate
and exploring how we share innovation and best practice through
linked communications and portal
• Bringing our unique expertise and perspectives to common problems
eg how do we make East Midlands the destination of choice for
healthcare staff?

Aligning systems and processes
• A workforce lead has been assigned to join each of the 4 clinical network
steering groups
• Involvement in Quality Scrutiny Boards and Risk Summits
• Communities of interest with clinicians in particular specialties who are
able to support developmental activity
• Annual professional summits taking place in October for Nurses and
Midwives, Allied Health Professionals, Healthcare Scientists, Pharmacists
to understand key professional developments as context to the workforce
plan and education commissioning – you are welcome to join us!
• Liaison between Specialty Schools and services to understand education
needs in particular specialities
