About us
 Established 1965 as a Bilateral organization with key
objectives
 To promote bilateral trade, investment, tourism and
education links with the USA.
 To represent and express the opinion of the business
communities in New Zealand and the USA on questions of
trade, commerce, finance, industry, taxation and education
 Funded by membership subscriptions & revenues from
events. No funding from either government.
 About 300 corporate members split 40/60 between US and
NZ – US companies mainly Fortune 500 names. Approx. 350
US companies operating in NZ.
 Regarded as the “Voice of US business in NZ”. Annual
survey of US companies operating in NZ.

 We are a member of the US Chamber of Commerce which
represents over 3,000,000, businesses, 2,800 state and local
chambers, 830 business associations & 115 American
Chambers of Commerce in 102 countries.
 We are part of the Asia Pacific Council of American
Chambers of Commerce (27 AmChams in 21 Economies).
 We take part in the APCAC annual Washington Doorknocks
to lobby Congress and the Administration on issues facing
business and US citizens in the region
 Recently attended the US Secretary of States Global
Summit of U.S. business support organizations in
Washington, DC

In 2000 we introduced an Annual Awards ceremony to celebrate success and innovation
in trading and business relationships with the USA. Over the last twelve years our
sponsors have provided over $300,000 of prizes to our award winners.
