HISTORY PROJECT
YEAR VII 2025-2026
As part of the Grade VII History curriculum, students were assigned a project titled “Presentation of
a Monument”. This activity was designed to help students explore important historical monuments
mentioned in Chapters 2, 3, 4, and 6 of their textbooks. Through this project, students learned to
observe, describe, and appreciate the architectural beauty and historical significance of India’s
heritage structures.
Each student selected one monument of their choice and prepared a handwritten project on A4 or
chart paper. To ensure clarity and organization, students were instructed to present their work
under the following points:
To make the project visually attractive and well-structured, students added headings, subheadings,
neat borders, and a coloured picture or drawing of their monument. They were also guided to
include a Title Page, Index, and Conclusion to give their project a complete and professional look.
The objective of this activity was not only to enhance students’ knowledge about historical
monuments but also to develop their skills in presentation, creativity, neatness, and independent
writing.
Overall, the project helped students build a deeper understanding of India’s architectural heritage
while encouraging them to present information in a clean, creative, and meaningful way.
