Create an A3 or Tabloid poster (by hand, Canva or other digital graphic program) that includes the
following elements to show and explain the concepts of the Mole in Chemistry.
1. Definitions and visuals of: Mole, Molarity, Molar Mass, Molar Volume, Avogadro’s number
2. A mole as a counting unit (like a dozen, but much bigger)
3. A simple chart or tool for your poster that helps convert between particles, moles, mass, and
volume. Include the following conversation formulas in your chart or tool:
4. Include the following practice problems as explanations:
- How many particles are in 2.5 moles of water molecules?
- How many moles are in (1.204 x 1024) atoms of helium?
- Calculate the mass of 3.0 moles of carbon dioxide (CO₂).
- How many moles are in 44 grams of CO₂?
- What volume (in liters) does 5.0 moles of oxygen gas (O₂) occupy at STP?
- How many moles are in 11.2 liters of nitrogen gas (N₂) at STP?
