WHAT WORKED?
1. Building the publicity of EIS at the beginning through internal magazine, memos and directors
meeting was beneficial in increasing the visibility and awareness
2. Getting the support of Cynthia to get Ann’s intertest.
3. Building one on one relationships with people to move them through stages, recognizing networks
to recognize who can influence whom.
WHAT DID NOT WORK? WHY?
1. Tried contacted the second level of management and realized that without approval of the
CEO, strong control over the organization by the CEO.
2. The organization has a very strong structure so you cannot take initiatives without personal
connections.
3. Seeking meetings with people who were old-school and were not enthusiastic about new
technology in general.
LESSONS:
1. The behaviour of people is based upon the situation and their personality.
2. You should have a holistic view of the entire situation before making any decision. Make 2x2
before any decision.
