‫דיונים על עבודת ילדים ועבריינות נוער לצד ויכוחים על חינוך מיני‪ ,‬צנזורה ותרבות הפנאי משקפים מתח‬
‫בהיסטוריה של ארצות הברית בין חשש לילדים ‪ -‬לבריאותם‪ ,‬לצרכיהם‪ ,‬להתפתחותם ‪ -‬לבין חשש מפניהם כמי‬
‫שמאתגרים את הסדר והנורמות החברתיות ומעוררים שאלות בנוגע לדור העתיד ש ל ה ח ב ר ה ה א מ ר י ק נ י ת ‪ .‬ד ר ך‬
‫ניתוח מכתבים‪ ,‬יומנים וספרי זיכרונות של ילדים וילדות לצד עיון במסמכים משפטיים‪ ,‬ספרות מקצועית וספרי‬
‫הדרכה להורים‪ ,‬כמו גם טקסטים ספרותיים ומקורות ויזואליים‪ ,‬נחקור בסמינר שינויים היסטוריים בתפיסת‬
‫הילדות ונדגיש את תהליכי ההבניה החברתית‪ ,‬התרבותית והמשפטית של מושג הילדות בארצות הברית‪ .‬נשאל‬
‫מה ניתן ללמוד מחוויות החיים של ילדים וילדות עליהם ועל המשפחות‪ ,‬הקהילות והחברות שבהן חיו ואיך‬
‫השפיעו תפיסות ביחס למגדר‪ ,‬גזע ומעמד על המדיניות הציבורית ביחס לילדים וילדות‪.‬‬
‫דרישות הקורס ומבנה ההערכה‪:‬‬
‫‪ o‬הסמינר דורש פעילות רציפה ואקטיבית של המשתתפות והמשתתפים‪ .‬על כן‪ ,‬נדרשת נוכחות קבועה ופעילה‪.‬‬
‫עם זאת‪ ,‬תלמידים ותלמידות שיתקשו לשמור על נוכחות קבועה בנסיבות הנוכחיות יתבקשו ליידע את‬
‫מזכירות החוג להיסטוריה כללית והחוג ינסה למצוא פתרון מיטבי בהתאם להנחיות הפקולטה‪.‬‬
‫‪ o‬השתתפות פעילה בדיונים מבוססת על קריאה יסודית ומשמעותית של חומרי הלימוד‪ ,‬הן המקורות‬
‫הראשוניים והן ספרות המחקר )‪ .(20%‬מי שיתקשו להשתתף בדיונים בכיתה יוכלו להגיש ‪ 6‬דו״חות קריאה‬
‫במהלך הקורס כחלופה להשתתפות בעל פה‪ .‬יש לעדכן על כך בהודעת דואר אלקטרוני עד ‪.17.11.24‬‬
‫‪ o‬רפרט כיתה המציג מאמר‪ ,‬פרק מספר או מקור ראשוני מרשימת החומרים המומלצים המופיעה באתר‬
‫הקורס )‪ .(10%‬ההרשמה למשבצות הרפרט תתבצע בתאריכים ‪ .10-20.11.24‬ניתן להגיש מטלה כתובה‬
‫)חיבור בן כ‪ 1,500-‬מילה( כמטלה חלופית בתיאום מראש עד ‪ .20.11‬לא ניתן להשלים את הקורס מבלי להציג‬
