Present Perfect Tense
We use Present Perfect Tense to talk about:
1. Something that happened in the past but is important now.
o Example: We’ve done it! (We finished it, and it is important now.)
2. Life experiences (things we have done before).
o Example: Have you ever won a prize? (Did this happen in your life?)
3. Something that started in the past and is still true now.
o Example: He hasn’t lost. (He started playing before, and he is still not losing.)
How to make Present Perfect:
👉 have / has + past participle (V3)


I / You / We / They → have + V3
He / She / It → has + V3
Examples:
✅ I have eaten lunch.
✅ She has visited Japan.
✅ They haven’t finished the homework.
✅ Have you seen this movie?
✅ we have finished the English homework
✅ he has drunk the medicine
Each row shows one action in three different steps:
1. Picture (a) → Before the action starts
o Example: They are going to start.
o Tense: Future (Going to)
o Use: The action has not started yet, but it will happen soon.
2. Picture (b) → The action is happening now
o Example: They are starting.
o Tense: Present Continuous (am/is/are + -ing)
o Use: The action is happening right now.
3. Picture (c) → The action is finished
o Example: They have started.
o Tense: Present Perfect (have/has + past participle)
o Use: The action already started and is important now.
