Present Perfect Tense We use Present Perfect Tense to talk about: 1. Something that happened in the past but is important now. o Example: We’ve done it! (We finished it, and it is important now.) 2. Life experiences (things we have done before). o Example: Have you ever won a prize? (Did this happen in your life?) 3. Something that started in the past and is still true now. o Example: He hasn’t lost. (He started playing before, and he is still not losing.) How to make Present Perfect: 👉 have / has + past participle (V3) I / You / We / They → have + V3 He / She / It → has + V3 Examples: ✅ I have eaten lunch. ✅ She has visited Japan. ✅ They haven’t finished the homework. ✅ Have you seen this movie? ✅ we have finished the English homework ✅ he has drunk the medicine Each row shows one action in three different steps: 1. Picture (a) → Before the action starts o Example: They are going to start. o Tense: Future (Going to) o Use: The action has not started yet, but it will happen soon. 2. Picture (b) → The action is happening now o Example: They are starting. o Tense: Present Continuous (am/is/are + -ing) o Use: The action is happening right now. 3. Picture (c) → The action is finished o Example: They have started. o Tense: Present Perfect (have/has + past participle) o Use: The action already started and is important now. Example with "Wash" (Row 2 - Washing a Car) (a) They are going to wash the car. (Future - Going to) (b) They are washing the car. (Present Continuous) (c) They have washed the car. (Present Perfect) The Four Seasons There are four seasons in a year: 1. Spring 🌸 (March – May) o The weather gets warmer. o Flowers bloom, and trees grow new leaves. o It often rains. o Animals wake up from hibernation. 2. Summer ☀️ (June – August) o The hottest season. o People go to the beach and eat ice cream. o The days are long, and the nights are short. o Kids have summer vacation! 3. Autumn / Fall 🍂 (September – November) o The weather gets cooler. o Leaves change color (red, yellow, orange) and fall from trees. o People harvest fruits and vegetables. o Some animals collect food for winter. 4. Winter ❄️ (December – February) o The coldest season. o It snows in many places. o People wear warm clothes (coats, scarves, gloves). o Some animals hibernate (sleep all winter).
