Oreto’s Autobiography Submitted to: Mrs. Iryn Cavity, Purposive Communication Instructor Oreto Aaron 5/27/24 BSED-SCIENCE 1D Republic of the Philippines SURIGAO DEL NORTE STATE UNIVERSITY Narciso Street, Surigao City 8400, Philippines “For Nation’s Greater Heights” Name: ORETO AARON C. Subject: PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION Task: AUTOBIOGRAPHY Instructor: MRS. IRYN CAVITE MAY 27, 2024 “KNOWING ONESELF AS KEY TO UNDERSTAND AND LOVE OWNSELF” My name is Aaron Catilcong Oreto. I am 19 years old, and I was born on 8th day of September 2004. I am turning twenty years of age this coming September. I lived and was raised in Surigao City, Brgy. Manjagao, Philippines. My parents and I are purely Filipino; my mother’s name is Rosalie C. Oreto, and she was also born and raised in Surigao City, Brgy. Manjagao, Philippines. While my father’s name is Ian Jose E. Oreto, he was raised in Negros, Philippines. Additionally, I finished my primary and secondary education at the school in my hometown, named Manjagao Elementary School and Brgy. Manjagao National High School; graduated in 2016 and 2023, respectively. I am now a college student and I’m currently studying at Surigao Del Norte State University (SNSU) with the core values of integrity, competence, and respect. Moreover, my parents were blessed by God with children, they just have four healthy kids. Actually, we are five siblings, but it is sad to say that our fifth sibling died after being born. In some cases, if you ask me, “Where do I fall in the birth order of the family, or if I were the eldest child or the youngest? ”I would say I’m the middle child, because out of the four children my mom’s had, I am the third one. In terms of siblings, I had two older brothers, Christian the older one and Dave the second-born, and here I am in the middle, with the precious and only princess we have, Ashlee Kia, our youngest sister. When I was a kid, I literally didn’t care about who I was; all I cared about was how much bonding I could spend with my friends and families, how many answers would satisfy my curiosity, and how many people I interacted with, which made me realize that, hey, this is one of the key reasons why I didn’t regret my childhood and how I loved myself. And I also realized that having a conservative parent would have a long-lasting impact on you as a child. The things you have learned from the people around you, especially your parents, reflect who you are right now. In other words, parental guidance and social-interactions shape the “I” as an individual. I came up learning and loving myself by nurturing myself through my hobbies, goals in life, and communication with God. My hobbies are homework, singing, drinking coffee, playing mobile games, and many more. In terms of my goals in life, my ambition is to become a teacher someday, make my parents proud of what I have achieved, live with them peacefully, livelyly, successfully provide for what they need and also to prvide for my wants and needs, and be saved by God. My current achievement is that I was being recognized as a “Best Performer of Basic Life Support” (BLS) during the Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) of Surigao del Norte State University-ROTC Unit conducted on the 14th day of May at the Surigao City High National School parade ground and also recognized as the “Best Attendance” of the Year award during the ROTC training 2023-2024. I was also recognized as an honor student of the Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in General Sciences, for the 1st semester of 2023-2024. Furthermore, I have a lot of obstacles in life, and I have more upcoming challenges to go through. Since I entered college, I have always been late to class due to lack of sleep, financial instability, and improper meals. I found myself that I should undergo smart ways to develop on how to resolve some of these difficulties I faced. Aside from shelter, food, and water, understanding, loving and trusting him (Lord Jesus) is a crucial and significant process that keeps you developing and adapting to survive.
