Application (Accomplish Task)
The diagram above shows how gases are being transported and exchanged in the
respiratory system. When oxygen enters the body, it passes first in the conducting zones
wherein gases flow naturally until it reaches the respiratory zone wherein actual gas
exchange occurs. Following the same path, carbon dioxide from inside the body also
follows the same transport mechanism. To further explain, gases flow in different parts of
the respiratory system that starts from the nares and ends in the alveoli. Afterward, gas
exchange happens in the alveoli once oxygen and carbon dioxide enters inside. Carbon
dioxide will be excreted outside and oxygen will enter the capillaries to be transported to
the cell. This exchange is possible through diffusion as these gases will occupies certain
areas of concentration to allow oxygen to enter the blood. This gas transport and
exchange will always continue as long as ventilation is
