CELT-HR Compact Eyesafe Laser Transceiver - High Repetition • Fully integrated high performance laser rangefinder unit • True continuous 10Hz repetition rate • Low maintenance, plug and play design • Diode-pumped erbium glass transceiver technology • Suitable for naval, air and ground-based applications • Full MIL-STD compliant • C4I command control system compatible www.thalescomminc.com CELT-HR Compact Eyesafe Laser Transceiver - High Repetition Overview Technical Data Thales has designed a new leading edge High Repetition Rate Laser Rangefinder in response to market demand to address new state-of-the-art rangefinding applications. Transmitter / Receiver Laser type: Er : Glass. Wavelength: 1535nm. Pulse width: 7 +/- 2ns. Beam divergence: 0.4 - 0.6mrad 1. Receiver FOV: 1mrad. Design and configuration The CELT-HR Laser rangefinder is a discrete stand-alone sensor that is particularly suited for detection of fast-moving targets on Naval, Ground and Air platforms. The CELT-HR laser rangefinder benefits from reduced footprint, high efficiency and reduced power consumption compared with alternative laser designs. Energy/Class Ratings Output energy (single Pulse): <8mJ. Average output energy (10Hz):<5mJ Class rating: Class 3R. Features of CELT-HR Environmental Specification Temperature: -55 to +85°C storage. Operation: -30 to +55°C operation. Altitude: up to 32,808 feet (10,000m) Applicable Standards: All usual MIL-STDs for shock, vibration, EMI, EMC etc. • 10Hz continuous operation. • Full performance from first pulse. • No external cooling required. • Fast acquisition time. • Small discrete, low-mass sensor. • Enhanced range resolution and accuracy • Multiple software capabilities to increase hit probability • BIT facilities as standard • High range performance (see graph) Performance Specifications Measurement Characteristics Min/max range: 50 to 19995m2. Range resolution: 1m. Range Accuracy: +/- 2m. Discrimination: <25m. Number of range events: 3 (First, Second, Last)3. False alarm probability: <1%. Pulse repetition frequency: 1-10Hz 4. Extinction ratio: > -39dB. Simplicity With power and RS422 communications applied through the MIL-C-38999 military connector and CELT- HR being MIL-STD-1275B compatible, operation of the CELT-HR is exceptionally user friendly. CELT-HR Range Performance Applications CELT-HR Range vs Visibility (MODTRAN MLS). Target: 2.3m x 2.3m, NATO MBT • Land-Based Close-in Weapon Systems (CIWS). • Anti-Aircraft Fire Control Systems (AAFCS). • Fire-on-the-move.
