HEAT TRANSFER HEAT • It is a form of energy and temperature measures how much energy an object has. THERMAL ENERGY • Thermal energy is the energy possessed by an object/system by virtue of its temperature. THERMOMETER • It is an instrument for measuring the temperature of a system. WHAT DO YOU OBSERVE? HEAT TRANSFER • Heat transfer occurs any time there is a temperature difference between two objects and occurs in the direction of decreasing temperature, meaning from a hot object to a cold object. Heat can be transferred in three ways 1.Conduction 2.Convection 3.Radiation 1. Conduction is the transfer of energy from one molecule to another by direct contact. 2. Convection is the heat transfer takes within the fluid. (Fluid are either liquid or gas.) 3. Radiation is the transfer of heat by electromagnetic waves. ACTIVITY TIME! MECHANICS • The teacher will group the class into three. • Each group will choose a representative to explain their activity. • After the class is being grouped I will distribute the activities of each THANKYOU FOR PARTICIPATING!
