PILAF IS THE SYMBOL OF UZBEK FOOD. EVERY
UZBEKISTAN FAMILY PREPARE IT, WHETHER UZBEK,
RUSSIAN, TATAR OR KOREAN. UZBEK PILAF IS THE PART
OF MENTALITY OF UZBEK PEOPLE. TRADITIONALLY
MEN COOK PILAF.
PILAF IS USUALLY COOKED ON SPPECIAL OCCASIONS
SUCH AS HOLIDAYS, WEDDING PARTIES OR WHEN THE
GUESTS COME.

Commonly Uzbek pilaf is
cooked with rice, fresh mutton
or beef, yellow or red carrot,
onions and vegetable oil.
