Reflection #6 1. In NEUR 3010, I picked up how crucial it is to mix and match knowledge from different fields like biology and AI to tackle big problems. I learned about the importance of your lens, why you think what you think, is more important than what you think. I also learned the importance of good communication when working with a team. These will all translate well into my career as an entrepreneur as I am going into the digital health/AI/longevity space with a large focus on neuroscience. 2. One challenging part of this course was getting the hang of all of the different projects and meeting with different groups. It was very overwhelming, especially given my expectations of the class (as per the last semester). 3. Watching other students present their projects taught me a ton about breaking down complicated information into bite-size pieces. Working in groups opened my eyes to how different perspectives can make solving tough problems a lot smoother. I also learned that using activities and real world examples really helps me learn. 4. I would not say I have mastered any skills. However, I have gotten significantly better at science communication to my non-science major friends and family. I'm still getting better at writing proposals. I need to enhance up my skills in pulling off my own research projects!. 5. The class has excited my passion for neuroscience! Love the diverse range of projects getting me ready for my own independent research project. and I've loved all the hands-on learning and support to chase after my own research ideas.
