What do you mean by stress?
• Stress is a state of worry or mental tension
which is caused by hardships and it is a
natural response by humans.
• Everyone experiences stress in some point of
life and it makes a difference to our wellbeing.
How does it affect us?
• Stress affects both the mind and the body. A
little bit of stress is good for us but too much
stress can cause physical and mental problems.
• Learning to cope with stress can be helpful for
us as it will make us feel less overwhelmed.
Stressful Situations
• Divorce
• Death of a loved one
• Loss of job – Financial crisis
• Experiencing abuse – Verbal or Physical
• Organizing a complicated event
• Education – Too much workload
