Disassembling a jet engine is a complex and delicate process that requires specialized tools and
skills. It involves separating the engine into its main components, such as the fan, compressor,
combustor, turbine, and exhaust nozzle, and then inspecting and cleaning each part. Depending
on the type and model of the engine, the disassembly procedure may vary slightly, but here are
some general steps to follow:

First, you need to remove the engine from the aircraft and mount it on a stand or a
cradle. You also need to disconnect any electrical, fuel, oil, or pneumatic connections
from the engine.
Next, you need to remove the fan cowls and the thrust reverser, if applicable. You also
need to detach the fan blades from the fan disk and the fan disk from the fan shaft. You
can use a special tool to pull out the fan blades and a hoist to lift the fan disk.
Then, you need to remove the low-pressure compressor (LPC) and the high-pressure
compressor (HPC) modules from the engine core. You can use a spanner wrench to
loosen the bolts that hold the modules together and a sling to support the modules as
you separate them.
After that, you need to remove the combustor module from the engine core. You can use
a torque wrench to unscrew the nuts that secure the combustor to the HPC and the highpressure turbine (HPT). You also need to disconnect the fuel nozzles and the igniters from
the combustor.
Next, you need to remove the HPT and the low-pressure turbine (LPT) modules from the
engine core. You can use a torque wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the modules
together and a sling to support the modules as you separate them.
Finally, you need to remove the exhaust nozzle from the engine core. You can use a
socket wrench to remove the bolts that attach the nozzle to the LPT.
Once you have disassembled the engine, you need to inspect and clean each part according to
the manufacturer’s specifications. You also need to replace any damaged or worn-out parts
before reassembling the engine.
