HR plays a significant role in employer branding as they are considered a face for any organization, and this helps to promote and hire great talent withing an organization Risk Management and Compliance: HR is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and protecting the organization from potential liabilities. A centralized HR function can provide expertise in navigating complex legal requirements, reducing the risk of costly lawsuits or penalties. Employee Development and Engagement: HR play a significant role in creating a succession ladder which helps any organization to develop and grow their internal talent. HR play s a significant role in engaging the internal talent with various surveys and other activities to bridge the GAP between with the leadership teams and employees Employee Relations: HR play a significant role in employee relations and grievances. They can be one point of contact for any issue that an employee faces in at their work or with the role they are currently doing. This gives the employees a sense of belonging that they can be heard and the a solution can be reached Culture and Values: HR Plays a significant role in managing the culture and making sure the organization’s values are upheld. HR works and get talent into the organization based on the culture and the values shared. This department can play in pivotal role in diversity and make sure the talent we have is diverse and can reinforce the culture from within Cost Savings: If there is a centralized HR department, it can be helpful that there might cost savings since the team can work on better vendor contracts, hire right talent, bring cost savings in the organization by making sure there is no legal conflicts and there is a standardized process throughout Overall outsourcing may have short term cost savings but setting up a centralized HR department it will help the organization to align human capital with organizational objectives, mitigate risks, foster employee development and engagement, and promote a positive workplace culture.
