Question - How did you come to
be a Fashion Designer?
Answer - During my formative years, I Manav Gangwani
was the archetype of a nerd – a devoted reader who
achieved a 93.8 percent score in my twelfth-grade
examinations and was poised to pursue engineering in the
United States. However, fate intervened abruptly,
wrenching away the metaphorical diamond spoon I had
been born with, rather than merely a silver one. A family
crisis forced a change of plans, leading me to abandon my
engineering aspirations and instead pursue a path in
fashion. Fortunately, my extensive travels abroad had
acquainted me with international fashion trends, which
proved advantageous when I enrolled in a fashion school in
Delhi. In fact, my exposure surpassed that of many faculty
members at the institution.
How does a Delhi boy have so many
celebrity friends in Mumbai?
• I am acquainted with Soha Ali Khan since
her time in Delhi.
• Raveena Tandon holds a sisterly bond with
me. During the launch of my line in Delhi,
she demonstrated her unwavering faith in me
by purchasing the entire rack.
• Sophie Choudry and I instantly connected
when we crossed paths at a party.
• Zayed Khan and his spouse were brought
into my circle by a mutual acquaintance.

Weakness?
I possess an excessive number of shoes! Whenever I find a
style I adore, I tend to purchase multiple pairs in the same
design and color. Additionally, I've amassed a sizable
assortment of sunglasses, although I frequently misplace
them.
